This is it guys, one truly incredible year is behind us. Unbelievable. As we approach the end of yet another magnificent year, we innately have the urge to reflect on the past 12 months, dissecting everything we’ve accomplished, endured, and overcome. One of the best ways to take a trip down memory lane is through pictures. Whether it be to look back at a shared experience or evoke a personal feeling, these images show how much we love and appreciate art. We are here to remember the most positive and beautiful things of 2022, to talk about art, to recall some exhibitions, parties, and much more. And the best is yet to come. We all have great expectations from 2023. So, without further ado, here’s the recap of our incredible year in pictures. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
JANUARY
Some call it a Dry January, we call it all fun and games January at 2B Art Gallery. Cause it surely was. We had a new space in the heart of Palma de Mallorca under construction, we had art toys and Bearbrick figures coming from all over the world. But the highlight of the month was a new print release with The London Police lads.
FEBRUARY
Ahh, that February. Or as some call it the month of love or FebFast – The month to quit alcohol, sugar, or your pick. Do something great for yourself. Which we did. Oh yes, we got some more amazing art. The was a huge batch of Nick Walker’s unique and rare artworks, there was an astonishing new Bearbrick figure The Kaiser – Karl Lagerfeld. Not to mention Valentine’s day. February flew by really fast.
MARCH
March was terrific, no doubt about it. In fact, March 2022 was all about new print releases for us. We had those bad boys coming in no time. First, there was a series of new limited edition prints by the master of monochrome art SheOne, then the lovely Carolina Adan released her first-ever limited edition art print and the cherry on the top of the cake was Nick Walker’s series of limited edition prints entitled “Handle With Care”. Oh yes, we were working hard for the grand opening of our new gallery in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. SheOne, Carolina Adan, and Joan Aguilo were giving the final touch for the grand opening and exhibition in April.
APRIL
Then finally April came. Yes, we had to expand our horizons, basically, to have two art spaces on the lovely island of Mallorca. Marking a significant milestone for the gallery, this expansion was a direct response to the growth of our artists and the development of their art. After months of preparations, everything was ready for the big opening of the new gallery. Welcome to the new 2B Art Gallery in the heart of Palma de Mallorca.
MAY
May was so amazingly fruitful. Actually, the whole month was marked by so many art events. The first in the line was the astounding exhibition/print release/new mural by Sabek at the gallery in Palma. Then our second art gallery (in Portals Nous) started the season with an incredible Live Art evening by Carolina Adan. Next in line was Joan Aguilo‘s release of his first-ever limited edition print named “Capsa Somiadora”. To wrap up the extraordinary month of May, we had another incredible night of live painting, this time with the amazing setdebelleza.
JUNE
June, June, June. It was absolutely brilliant. The whole month was about one artist. In fact, the whole month was about flowers. And not just any flowers, it was all about urban street art flowers. The best kind. Nerone, a famous French street artist, took over 2B Art Gallery in Palma with his remarkable art. The whole gallery was literally blooming. And hey, we also got a new mural in front of the gallery. In June, we have decided to expand to a new location – downtown Madrid. A new store focused on collectible art toys and unique Bearbrick figures.
JULY
July was freaking awesome. After the significant success of June’s exhibition, it was only natural to go with the same flow. The art of the British boys marked the wonderful month of July. The London Police and SheOne had a joint exhibition which was an instant success. We had Nick Walker in the house as well. Did we mention we got another new mural (by The London Police) in front of the gallery? Later in the month, SheOne released a series of his new limited edition prints. We had another Live Art evening at our gallery in Calvia, this time with the famous mosaic artist Ruth Scheibler, paired with music, and the best flavors of Mediterranean cuisine. At the very end of the month, Javier Garlo released his first-ever limited edition print. All in all, it’s been an amazing month.
AUGUST
August was lit. One truly amazing month filled with so much artsy stuff going on. Another spectacular exhibition was on the horizon! El Pez and Stinkfish took over 2B Art Gallery in Palma de Mallorca. For the first time, two masters of the street art scene joined forces for one spectacular art exhibition. But the true cherries on the cake were the releases of Nick Walker’s new print and the presentation of Ruth Scheibler’s new mosaic limited edition sculpture.
SEPTEMBER
September was one terrific month. Period. September on the lovely island of Mallorca is usually reserved for la Nit de l’Art. This event Nit de l’Art is a nocturnal festival dedicated to the island’s contemporary art scene. Ohh boy, we did have a lot of fun. Our Nit de l’Art was marked by the solo exhibition of the amazing Dadara, whose art will bend your mind. Aside from the exhibition, Dadara also performed a live painting evening. And hey, did we mention the new mural by Dadara? The highlight of the month was the release of the new limited edition print by Dadara. And in our second gallery in Calvia, the magnificent Gracia Ribalaiga performed a live art evening with her unique collages. What more can you ask for?
OCTOBER
October is best known for its Halloween festivities (which we had), but the main event for us was a live mural painting event. With a dizzying field of special art, toys, and Bearbrick figures — from limited edition prints to unique masterpieces — we had amazing Halloween art pieces on sale. But one event stole the show and marked the month. Live art indoor mural painting event in our gallery in Palma.
NOVEMBER
November was all about the one and only Dotmaster and his impeccable art. Dotmaster’s brilliant high-fashion bags that tackle consumerism covered our gallery in Palma. Entitled the “Trash-Tour” show, this unique series of paintings and limited-edition prints highlight the toxic combination of obsession with fashion and rapid consumerism. And of course, we had a new print release by the man himself – The Dotmaster.
DECEMBER
December can be summarised in one word – TRANSITIONS. This phenomenal group exhibition with seventeen national and international urban art artists presented new and thought-provoking contemporary works to the public at the 2B Art Gallery. The peak of the month and exhibition was the release of three new limited edition artworks by Carolina Adán, TwoFlü, and setdebelleza. To conclude, when we look at the year behind us, we did accomplish a lot. And the best is yet to come. Truly wonderful things are coming in 2023, so stay with us for some more unforgettable memories.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones from 2B Art Gallery ❤️🎅🏻
