Diego Etcheverry aka setdebelleza, is a prominent Spanish artist, illustrator, and graphic designer with experience as an art director. Drawing his inspiration from sources in popular and commercial culture, setdebelleza creates eye-catching artworks with a powerful impact on contemporary life.

Through his tongue-and-cheeky style, reflected in his continued interest in using media beyond simply paint and canvas, setdebelleza magically flirts with the viewer and makes him think outside the box. Once we scratch beneath the surface, beneath his cartoon-like figures, we discover complex ideas that represent the true power of art. By creating easily comprehensible images with unique characters, his art mirrors the social situations of our everyday life. Through his meticulously created paintings and silk-screen prints, setdebelleza sends a subtly expressive message of social criticism.

Over the years, he has participated in countless international projects as a graphic designer and illustrator, exhibiting and publishing works in different parts of the world. In more than 20 years of collaborating with brands and companies, he has created numerous limited editions printed in silkscreen, signed and numbered copies, collections riddled with childhood memories transformed into intellectual references, icons of all times, comics, subculture, and street art that orbits his acidic and ironic universe.

With a degree in fine arts, he is a designer and illustrator, working for international projects, taking part in group exhibitions and publications in different parts of the world. Many of his independent projects were financed exclusively by the sale of the screenprints which are signed and numbered, all the editions are designed and printed in his own studio. His truly amazing artworks are exhibited in art galleries and are cataloged in private collections around the world. Between 2013 and 2016 he alternated residence between Birmingham, Madrid, and Segovia.
