Javier Garló majestically showcases abstract techniques to portray cognitive truth and the belief that there is a spiritual existence beyond the physical world. In this magnificent limited edition print, we see the focus is on feelings, sentiments, concepts, and individuality rather than reality. Affected by the social and moral turmoil of the time, Javier Garló’s unique characters have conflicting beliefs, values, and attitudes. The culmination is in intimate, metaphysical, esoteric, and sometimes cryptic symbols and topics. Santa Ponsa is a character of a baroque Virgin poisoned with hemlock, depicted in the presence of her iconic greyhound and her inseparable muppet Coco. With differing levels and from diverse graphical sources, Javier Garló almost depicts a fantastical dreamscape. As if he’s unveiling the unseen. With an impressive blend of religious mystique, the indecent, the sexual, and the wicked, Javier Garló’s limited edition print “Santa Ponsa” is a true masterpiece.
Javier Garló is a Spanish visual artist who uses symbolism to express his reflections in art. By questioning our contemporary society, his own generation, and even the loss of values happening to humanity, Javier explores the human being throughout history and our stories in a timeless way. All his work revolves around his personal research, which has become a kind of invisible thread that unifies his work intrinsically. Javier Garlo’s art has a very personal and innovative note. By combining geometrical or linear shapes and patterns, he creates confident and bold art. His artworks meet the eye and evoke emotion through an expression of skill and imagination.
DJ Mauri Music Mixologist has been the resident DJ at the Iberostar Grand Portals Nous since last year. His sessions are inspired by different musical styles, where he creates unique sets adapted to the energy of each night. His career started when he was 17 and since then he has kept working at international festivals such as Sonar, Festimad, Armageddon, Batofar, Lem, Espárrago Festival among others.
- White Chardonnay from Mandia Vell’s Winery
Mandia Vell, is a Mallorcan winery, one of the oldest estates in Mallorca located in the east of the island, between Manacor and Porto Cristo. The soldier Pere de Mandia gives the name to the winery.
The farm was a gift from King Jaime I of Aragon to his best soldier as a reward for his meritorious acts after the reconquest and liberation from the Arabs in 1263. The wines are made without the addition of sulfites, they achieve organic certification and are very aromatic, and fresh, with good acidity, and reflect very well the Majorcan terroir and climate on the palate.
