Nick Walker has experimented with superimposing numbers with a transparent effect, which he calls "smoke", creating an illusion of lightness and subtlety in his paintings. Most of these paintings are in black and white. For this particular work he has played with the numbers: 2,7,9,6 and 5. That's where the name of the piece comes from.
